Kenzo Zurzolo - Circles

Here plays the music

There are always those musicians who don't reveal much about themselves. The people who put their music in the front row and themselves somewhere in the shadows behind. The French pianist Kenzo Zurzolo is such an artist. But when we listen to his music, it reveals a sensitive, thoughtfully dreamy and meticulous, perhaps perfectionist man. One who is inspired by a painting of a friend to his sound pearls of the upcoming EP 'Imaginary Garden'. From this he has now released the first single Circles, a small masterpiece to dream. Not only for piano lovers.

Time For Dreams

Circles, the eternal flow of life, the never-ending. The new beginning was built in right away. In the video for the single, the flow is represented by flowers of life, as I call them. They bloom and fade, we come and we go.

But what remains is a special mood that reverberates in you even hours later. One is enchanted, almost in a trance. Maybe it comes from the muted keys that bring a certain structure to the song, maybe it's the minimalist melody that so gently embraces and guides you. We follow the notes in their predetermined circles. A gentle ripple, yet deep and meaningful and suitable for refueling.

Briefly, the circle is -as it seems- interrupted. A crescendo is heard and I can already hear light between trees again. I can't help but dive into this sea of sound. It becomes majestic and epic. Circles has become music for the sunset in the desert, for a latte in the café, for ballet lessons in Paris and for the starry sky over the sea.

I catch myself hitting the repeat button over and over again....
