The Lovelines
Sometimes a sound takes a little longer to settle into my auditory canals and please me. How good that the artist was persistent enough until then to send me his music. This time the sibling duo The Lovelines from Orlando, Florida succeeded.
The two create music reminiscent of a time when telephones still had long cable cords and women's shoes had three meter platform heels. We find ourselves in a lava lamp, wearing tight dresses with big rings and colorful bell-bottoms. Disappearing between pink clouds, we move our bodies to spherical sounds. And that without drugs.

Tessa D sings and her half-brother Todd Goings writes and composes the songs. The sound pearls were recorded in the DIY Home Studio, in the mixing and mastering they had Matt Bishop and Wilderfox Studio under the arms. From the album 'The Lovelines', which is in the starting blocks, three of their sound pearls are already available to the world.
Decisive for the special sound is above all the singing of Tessa D. Her voice represents the division cool and sexy. With a nonchalance she lets her minimalistic vocals sound harmonious to the experimental and spacey soundscapes in the background.
Strange Kind of Love is the quietest of the three singles. In a lascivious sea of sound, we move into slow motion under the disco ball. Steadily and Dark Thoughts About A Pretty Flower are of a faster caliber. While Steadily combines spacey and playful synths with strings, Dark Thoughts About A Pretty Flower accompanies a rocking guitar ambience. The rhythm does its own to get us dancing and singing along.
We can't get rid of the lava lamps either. Austin Powers would have his joy.
